Amal Al Kooheji

A passionate leader who overcomes complex business challenges with great energy, Amal Al Kooheji has proven to be a visionary, strategist and has a record of delivering outstanding results in performance and growth. Amal is an MBA graduate from the University of Glamorgan, Wales, UK, an Executive Management Programme from University of Virginia, Darden Business School, USA, and holds a B.A in English Literature and Human Psychology from the University of Bahrain; today she is known as a motivating mentor, multi-skilled and lead talent professional. The former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of “Tamkeen” Labour Fund, a leading institution mandated to create change and economic progress in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Amal joined Tamkeen since its inception in 2005, as a Manager in the Human Capital Development Department where she created the blue print for the first training and development schemes for the Nation’s youth and workforce, empowering them to better their own career development and ultimately their lives. Amal played a significant role in the progression and growth of the organization over a 12 year period; starting from an STA base of 35 to an organization now of 300 professionals. Amal’s latest position as COO enabled her to contribute to the development of different industry sectors in the Kingdom through a wide range of schemes that cover enterprise grants, financing, youth training and development, entrepreneurship and business acceleration.
